My BABY is 3!!!

Today is Sean's 3rd birthday. It's hard to believe that he is already 3. I took today off so we could spend the day together.
We got up and had breakfast this morning, ran a couple of errands, then headed to Bounceville! He bounced and bounced and bounced and then bounced some more - you'd have thought he was a tigger - except that Tigger's the only one! He said he had a great time, and I beleive it! I can't wait to take him back again.
After bouncing we went to lunch at Burger King. He may have taken 3 bites of his hamburger.
We came home, took a nap - and as soon as he woke up he said he was ready for presents! He opened all fo his gifts - lots of of Batman toys. A batman cave, and ALL the accesseries. Plus some dinasours, 4 scooby doo books, and some stickers.
He's been playing and having fun!
Tomorrow is his birthday party at ChuckEcheese - which he mixes up and called Monkey Jesus. He is excited about it. Hopefully it will go really good!!
We also got a cat this week. Shhhh...my lease does not allow pets. Sean has done...well, let's just say.... um, he isn't ALWAYS afaid of the cat....only when he cat moves. He pets Einstein if I hold him for him. He shrieks, screams, and shakes when he seems Einstein walking around. Which by the way, half the time he calls Einstein by the name of Dynis? Maybe that's how his mind translates the name?

Behind the Times

Sometimes I think it's scary that I work in IT.
I am...a little ditzy at times
I am...a bit behind the times when it comes to technology.
A good friend told me about podcasts last night. I just got an ipod for Christmas. Apparently you don't even need an ipod!! Who knew!!!
So, my FAVORITE radio show - the one I have not been able to listen to since I moved to NC - I can listen to on my ipod now!! Whoo-hoo!!

Resolutions

I think it's funny that so many people make resolutions at the beginning of the year.

It just seems silly to me...

I think we should all be the best we can be all the time - not just starting January 1 - so that by January 15 we feel like failures because we've broken all the resolutions.

Everyone should wake up each day, thankful to be blessed by having another day, and make the best of it...and when the day is done, focus on the good, learn from the bad, and be ready to start over again the next day if God is gracious enough to grant one.

There's a Cootie in my fridge

One day last week we picked up Sean's artwork as we were leaving daycare. When we brought it in, he told me he wanted to put it in the refridgerator. I thought he meant on the refridgerator...until he went in the kitchen, opened the fridge and placed it on the shelf.

Tonight as I was cooking dinner, Sean was playing with the Cootie he'd gotten a while back in a Wendy's kid's meal. I heard him say something about the fridge, but didn't think much about it until just now when I went to pour myself a glass of tea, and sure enough...there's a cootie in my fridge!

Sean's been doing great potty training and gets really excited when he poops. He will call me in to look at different stages. Of course I praise him for all he does... however it was a little odd the other day when he came in while I was using the bathroom and told me he wanted to see....

Thursday is my Brian's birthday. He will be 39. Wow, my big bro is almost 40!!! I mailed his card today at lunch - I hope he gets it in time!

My friends Erica and Ryan are supposed to come see me on Saturday. I hope they do. I really miss my friends and have not had a chance to see any of them in a long long time.

I've been debating what to do for Sean's birthday this year. It's only a few weeks away! He gets excited when he sees Chuckie Cheese comercials, so I thought about doing that again this year. I also thought about just doing a family thing at Chick-fil-a and letting him play. I think he's too young to do a friend party... plus I'm kinda broke! At Chuckie it would be his cousins and maybe Jace again if Diane can bring him :).

I just realized....Sean's in bed and I'm watching Spongebob. Sad.
